This document is an FBI submission to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), released May 8, 2026 as part of the PURSUE Release 01 program. It consists of a single still image, reportedly captured by a U.S. military system in late 2025 over the western United States. The monochrome image shows two small, dark, elongated objects near the center-right of the frame. The operator was unable to positively identify the objects. The image carries a timestamp of 12/31/99 18:19:54, which the record acknowledges is incorrect due to an unconfigured system clock.
Several elements limit the analytical value of this record. The original imagery was redacted prior to AARO submission, and no accompanying mission report was provided. The incorrect timestamp removes reliable temporal metadata. The absence of contextual mission data โ platform type, altitude, sensor specifications, observing conditions โ makes independent assessment of the objects impossible. The document is notable primarily as an example of the chain-of-custody and documentation gaps that have been flagged as systemic issues in UAP reporting.
