DOW-UAP-D44, Range Fouler Reporting Form, Gulf of Aden, October 2020
▮ AI SYNOPSIS · Sonnet 4.6
DOW-UAP-D44 is a U.S. Navy Range Fouler Reporting Form dated October 15, 2020, submitted by an O-2 ranked crew member assigned to Squadron 172 ATKS. The incident occurred at 14:18:39Z over the Gulf of Aden at an operator altitude of 19,073 feet. Using an infrared sensor set to black-hot mode, the operator tracked a single round, cold object appearing bright white in IR, traveling northwest at approximately 319 degrees and 20 mph at a slant range of 4.06 nautical miles. The contact lasted roughly one minute and involved several abrupt directional changes. The report was processed through the SPEAR program and released to AARO under USCENTCOM MDR 26-0038 through 26-0046.
The report is notable for documenting an apparent thermal anomaly โ a "cold" object appearing bright white in black-hot IR mode โ combined with reported non-ballistic maneuvering. Identifying information for the crew member and squadron contact details are redacted under exemption (b)(6). Latitude, longitude, contact altitude, and several sensor fields are left blank. The form represents a standardized, low-barrier reporting mechanism, and its inclusion in the PURSUE Release 01 package places it within a broader corpus of operational UAP encounter records collected from active military personnel.

Please attempt to determine a Lat / Long for the contact at initial detection. We recommend
using JMPS to reference the sensor-derived bearing and range relative to the bullseye you had
in use. If that method is not available, any reasonable derivation of location will work, but please
be as specific as possible and make a note in the comments section. These locations may be
used to cue other means of tracking.
